A vibrant young client asked Ro Lebedow, “How do you do it?  I’m half your age and you have twice my energy!”  Not an uncommon reaction to this Chicago native.  Ro’s personal e-mail address is ROWINDSURF and she has been known to squeeze a few hours on her board on Lake Michigan between appointments.  Yet, year after year, she ranks among the top four percent of residential Realtors® nationwide, and she continues as an important force in Chicago real estate.

Ro’s career as a Realtor® began in 1988.  Since then she has compiled a record of performance that has consistently earned her award recognition within the real estate communities of which she has been a vital part.  A significant indicator of Ro’s standards and level of performance over the years is her following of loyal clients, whose repeat business and referrals account for upwards of 75% of her continually growing sales volume.

“The only way I know how to serve my clients is to dig into the details,” she says.  “For buyers this means helping them find, select, evaluate and negotiate for the property they want to own.  For sellers it means doing the research, pricing the property to sell and then selling it.”  Ro’s listings sell consistently at about 97% of asking price and frequently at over 100%.  “Primarily,” she says, “because I believe that having realistically determined a fair market price, it’s essential to create and maintain a sense of marketing urgency until your home has found and secured its ideal buyer.”

Asked to sum up her work ethic, Ro said, “I suppose what I love doing most as a real estate professional is to strive hour by hour, day by day, to measure up to my own standards and to those of the clients I am privileged to represent.  Because in real estate, as in life, the only measure of excellence is the quality of one’s performance over time.”
